BODY PIERCING AFTERCARE
Your piercing needs to be thoroughly cleaned at least twice a
day. Don't use a variety of cleaning agents or problems will arise.
We suggest that you use antibacterial soap such as dial in the
pump.
1. Wash your hands thoroughly, this is a must !
2. Remove any "crusties" that have dried on the jewelry and
around the piercing with warm water and a Q-tip.
3. Put the dial on the jewelry with a Q-tip. Turn the jewelry so it
gets inside the piercing.
4. Rinse the jewelry and opening thoroughly with water turning
the jewelry. If all the soap is not removed, irritation will occur.
Further Healing Suggestions
Taking a 50mg Zinc supplement daily and vitamin"c" can
decrease healing time. Many piercing heal faster if a hot soak of 1
cup clean hot water and 1/4 tsp. Sea salt used. Apply a  a cotton
ball soaked with the mixture using a firm gentle pressure turning
the jewelry every couple of minutes. Keep your clothes clean. If
your piercing is always touching dirty clothes problems will
occur. Don't put special beads or charms on jewelry until after the
initial healing time. Don't change your jewelry until after the
initial healing time. If this is a must we will change the jewelry for
you.
Piercing Dont's
Using rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide they over dry the skin
and hinder the process healing. Using Neosporin, Triple antibiotic
ointment, or any  gel based cleaner. They stop oxygen from
getting to the piercing and increases healing time. Over cleaning,
Many people think that if cleaning once or twice a day is good
then six or seven is better, its not. You should clean your piercing
only  twice a day.
No swimming or hot tubs until healed.
If you feel that you have an infection DO NOT take out the jewelry
 Stop in.

                                ORAL CLEANING
You must rinse after you eat, smoke or drink for the first
month. We have found that Biotine mouthwash. Are the
most affective aftercare to heal your piercing. If you are
a heavy smoker you might find that just rinsing out with
salt water might work better if your tongue starts to turn
a whitish color. In addition with oral piercing it is a must
that you refrain from oral sex and deep mouth kissing
until after the initial healing time. You also need to be on
a soft diet for the first 2 weeks or you will rip your
piercing. You will get lymph on your piercing which
comes from our spine it will look white or a greenish
color just take your tooth brush and  gently clean it off.
In about a week  when all the swelling is gone. You can
down size your barbell to a 14g 5/8". Wash your hands
thoroughly, This a must! Check to make sure that the
threading is still tight. If you have a labret or lip piercing
you will also need to follow the guidelines of the
attached paper on facial cleaning.
Further Healing Suggestions

500mg ibuprofen will help with the pain.
Piercing Dont's
Stay away from aspirin, large amounts of caffeine and
alcoholic beverages for the first several days. Alcoholic
beverages, include all beer wine and hard liquor. These
can cause additional swelling, bleeding and discomfort.
If you feel that you have an infection Don't take out the
barbell!!  Because if there is a infection and you take out
the barbell that infection will have no place to go except
for back in your body and could do one of two things
make you very sick or cause a abscess that would need
to be surgical removed

Bactine. You will need to dilute it 50% with distilled water.  
The cleaning is performed after you are done washing your hair
and face. This will help remove any shampoo or soap that may
have worked it's way into the piercing.
